Make Something Monday 12.1

Peanut Butter Cookies with Hershey Kisses

1/2 cup vegetable shortening
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar(packed)
1/2 cup peanut butter (chunky if you want to do just straight up peanut butter cookies)
1 large egg, beaten
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Heat over to 400 degrees
In a bowl mix shortening, sugar, and peanut butter thoroughly. Add egg and mix to blend.
In another bowl sift flour, baking soda, and salt together. Add to peanut butter mixture. Add vanilla and mix thoroughly. Chill at least two hours or until firm.

Roll into golf ball sized balls. Place on an ungreased baking sheet. Press Hershey's Kisses into middle of balls. Bake for ten minutes.

Cool and enjoy for a Holiday Treat.

I love these! My aunt does a variation of these at Christmas and it's one of my favorite holiday treats. Maybe I'll try making my own this year:)
